POSITION OVERVIEW The VP, Account Management will play a key strategic role for one (or more) of our most prestigious client relationships. In this role, you will be the lead steward. This requires a dynamic approach inclusive of managing a continuously evolving relationship in our ever-changing marketing landscape. You will ensure that Grey continues to champion our team's efforts in making Famously Effective work for our clients. This role demands a forward-thinking strategic leader who will oversee a large multi-disciplinary team serving both national and global clients. You will also play a key role in identifying new growth opportunities both within your existing brands and agency new business efforts.

Requirements

  • Passionate interest in the client's business while you always look for ways to get upstream within the organization.
  • High creative output standards, expecting the full team to be passionate, focused, and committed to making Famously Effective work for our clients
  • 8+ years in a related environment (marketing, agency, product, etc).
  • Experience in full 360 integrated work, including but not limited to TV, content, digital, social, and OOH.
  • Experience in developing and leading work in omni-channel format.
  • Experience in partnering with clients and strategy team in shaping, leading the prep for, and implementing insights from market-research projects.
  • Experience in building strong client relationships that result in excellent work and drive organic growth.
  • Experience in effective account housekeeping (timelines and budget development and management).
  • Proven track record of supervising and developing junior Account talent.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point person for all day-to-day client communication across the team, which include but are not limited to daily updates to the more senior client agency evaluations.
  • Run senior client meetings, ensure work is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget, and take a proactive and transparent approach should the team not be able to deliver within the budget/timeline provided.
  • Use your experience and deep understanding of the client's business, including emerging trends, consumer behavior, and the ever-evolving innovation landscape relevant to your client's business, to establish yourself as a thought leader and help set the direction for your accounts.
  • Act as a client-centric contributor to project level work, shaping the approach or presentation based on the client business and brand strategy, organizational dynamics, and agency positioning.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative internal and external relationships, becoming the client's go-to agency resource for any and all initiatives.
  • Own workstreams, report to the EVP and senior Grey leadership to build a project path from the ground up, and work closely with your agency partners, including Creative, Strategy/Planning, Project Management, Talent, and Finance.
  • Manage strategic creative development, production, and post-production of advertising communications, including but not limited to film (broadcast and online), print, and social.
  • Develop accurate budgets and timelines and manage budget in partnership with Project Management and Finance, support Senior Account Leadership by continuously reviewing financial performance at the top and bottom line, and successfully forecast against a project pipeline and guide investment decisions toward healthy agency profitability. Closely manage and track the agency SOW with clients and identify opportunities for incremental scope.
  • Oversee content shoots (including attending pre-production meetings and shoots), supervise post-production processing (including process review, rough cuts, etc), and work on digital and social initiatives (website builds, upkeep, social media, landing pages, and microsites). Deep understanding of the production process across channels (digital, static, social, etc).
  • Lead Account team members, provide cross-disciplinary leadership by being prepared, proactive, thorough, fair, and balanced, and have a willingness to do what's required by clearly communicating and managing expectations.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of your client's market landscape, including competition, with a perspective and POV on trends that bring innovative thinking and ensure forward-looking work.
  • Create a measurable and quantifiable dashboard to report on client-agency relationship status.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative market research from stimuli creation to pull-through of learnings to optimize tactics.
  • Start to identify opportunities for business growth.
