Reporting to the Activities Director. the Volunteer Coordinator is a part-time position responsible for overseeing the departmental planning, organization, recruitment, supervision, and placement of volunteer staff. Maintains an accurate record of volunteer hours. Oversight of Volunteer integration within the Activities Department. Responsible for monthly reports. Responsible for other areas and projects as directed. Promotes and supports the overall philosophy and objectives of Senior Care Corporation. This position is responsible for general administrative tasks, diversified office duties, departmental projects, and coordination of sensitive information as assigned. Tasks, activities, and functions this position is required to perform on a regular basis. 1. Responsible for the dissemination and coordination of sensitive information in a professional, discrete, and confidential manner. Routinely handles confidential material and ensures disclosure is restricted to approved personnel. 2. Coordinates daily administrative operations for Volunteer Program including: · Managing tasks to meet set deadlines. · Monthly Reporting. · Growing the Volunteer program and number of volunteers themselves. · Database preparation (Volunteer) updates, and routine maintenance of files and records; (Shared) 3. Coordinates events as assigned, e.g., Volunteer Luncheon and various activities. (Shared) 4. Maintains an accurate record of volunteer hours. (Shared) 5. Oversees in the recruiting, interviewing, orientating, and evaluating of facility volunteers. 6. Take pictures of all new residents and upload to S drive in timely manner. (Shared) 7. Coordinates events as assigned, e.g., meetings and related activities. 8. Provides word processing support for a wide range of materials including legal documents, letters, reports, memos, brochures and forms for Volunteer and Activity Services. 9. Assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment, and manages availability of supplies for Volunteer and Activity Services. 10. Coordinates and organizes multiple projects and prepares presentations as requested. 11. Provides back-up support for co-team members, Activities, and Front Desk. 12. Schedule and communicate all Activities needs /events with volunteers. 13. Lead and develop the pet therapy initiative/program.
