About The Position

SourcePoint helps Delaware County adults 55 and better live safely at home and stay healthy as they age through in-home services, community programs, and caregiver support. Volunteers are essential to fulfilling this mission, supporting services such as Meals on Wheels, transportation, and a wide range of community programs. The Volunteer Engagement Specialist serves as the primary coordinator of the organization’s volunteer program, responsible for executing day-to-day operations including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and recognition of volunteers. This role is highly visible and community-facing, requiring an outgoing, organized, and responsive individual who can build relationships, represent SourcePoint professionally, and ensure a consistent and positive volunteer experience. This is an execution-focused role responsible for implementing established processes and supporting program consistency across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement & Recruitment Serve as the primary public representative for SourcePoint’s volunteer program
  • Recruit volunteers on an ongoing basis to meet organizational needs
  • Attend and represent SourcePoint at community events and outreach opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify volunteer needs
  • Maintain communication with Advancement team
  • Communicate with volunteers and contribute to newsletters
  • Volunteer Onboarding & Coordination Coordinate all aspects of volunteer onboarding including interviews and placement
  • Match volunteers to appropriate roles
  • Ensure onboarding compliance with policies
  • Program Administration Maintain volunteer database and conduct audits
  • Coordinate administrative volunteers and provide training
  • Support staff with volunteer policies and procedures
  • Assist with maintaining volunteer handbooks and documentation
  • Prepare reports including mileage tracking
  • Volunteer Engagement, Retention & Recognition Foster a positive volunteer environment
  • Track volunteer participation and milestones
  • Coordinate recognition events with Events Specialist
  • Support surveys and feedback collection
  • Provide input on engagement improvements
