About The Position

Provide eligible American Indians with disabilities
with culturally appropriate vocational rehabilitation services which are
consistent with their individual strengths, resources, and abilities so that
they may prepare for or participate in gainful employment. You will report to
the Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, counseling, human service, or 4 years directly related experience.
• Computer experience required
• One year of experience delivering social and community-based services with emphasis on servicing people with disabilities
• One year of experience in case management

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-take interviews with applicant to determine eligibility.
• Evaluate the functional and vocational capacity of the applicant.
• Provide assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate VR services
• Work with the consumer to develop a rehabilitation plan and help secure employment.
• Manage the case plans and make revisions.
• Provide referral resources and stay informed of tribal, local and state agencies to gain knowledge of services available for the consumers.
• Initiate and maintain relationships with public and private employers to establish job opportunities for eligible consumers.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
