About The Position

SCOPE OF THE ROLE: Under the supervision of the clinical supervisor, coordinates the vocational services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct initial vocational assessments of participants to determine employment viability. Formulates treatment plans in accordance with OASAS standards along with subsequent reviews. Maintains an active employment and vocational training data bank. Enters working participants’ status in HRA STARS data base. Collects copies of paystubs for all working participants and forwards to billing department. Constructs budgets in collaboration with working participants and monitors the same. Provide monthly vocational report along with Medicaid plan of self-support document. Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the clinical supervisor. Additional functions may include- pose as surrogate in the absence of program director.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience working with the substance abuse and / or homeless population.
  • Must be an OASAS QHP and or CASAC/CASAC-T.
  • General counseling and communication skills with good clinical skills a must.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AWARDS, word, Excel and outlook.
  • Visual and manual dexterity.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office suite and Windows)
