About The Position

The Visitor Services Associate supports daily park operations by providing front-line customer service, assisting visitors, and supporting facility and administrative functions. This role serves as a primary point of contact for park visitors, vendors, volunteers, and program leaders while assisting with reservations, cashiering, facility monitoring, and general operational support. This role reports to the Park Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • One (1) or more years of professional experience in customer service, visitor services, hospitality, or related field; internship experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of front desk operations, visitor assistance, and reservation systems.
  • Experience handling customer transactions, reservations, or cash register operations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions.
  • Basic proficiency with email and digital communication tools.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Capacity to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and stand for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Safely operate motorized vehicles and power equipment.
  • Work safely in high-traffic public environments.
  • Perform work at heights following required safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for park visitors by answering questions about park amenities, facilities, programs, and policies.
  • Answer the main phone line and route calls to appropriate staff members when necessary.
  • Process visitor transactions including concessions, merchandise, and memberships.
  • Assist with facility and park reservations, including entering and managing reservation information in the reservation system.
  • Monitor merchandise and concession inventory and support restocking and purchase tracking.
  • Maintain and manage park lost and found operations.
  • Assist with facility opening and closing procedures following established operational and security protocols.
  • Monitor cleanliness of restrooms and facility spaces and communicate issues to operations staff.
  • Maintain clean and organized front desk, office, and shared storage areas.
  • Check in vendors, volunteers, program leaders, and instructors and assist with operational questions.
  • Assist with setup of program spaces, meetings, and signage as directed.
  • Provide light administrative support including scheduling meetings, entering data, and assisting with operational coordination tasks.
  • Interact with park visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Comply with safety policies and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report operational issues, safety hazards, or equipment concerns to supervisory staff.
