About The Position

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Villanova University is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor for the 2025-2026 academic year. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related discipline. Candidates should be prepared to teach core courses in Psychology and/or Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience. Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related discipline, with proven achievement or clear aptitude for excellence in teaching.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in psychological and brain sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate/graduate courses in biopsychology, methodology, introductory psychology, and other foundational courses in Psychology and Neuroscience, as determined by the department chairperson.
  • Other tasks related to the academic functioning of the department, college, and university will also be part of the responsibilities.
