Primary duties will include teaching introductory and upper level courses for the biology program. Visiting Assistant Professors at TAMIU receive a standard load of 15 credit hours a semester which may be reduced contingent upon needs and approvals. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. Biology and Chemistry is searching for candidates who have a robust commitment to hands-on undergraduate biology education. Duties also include service to the department, college and university as needed. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. The Department of Biology and Chemistry offers BA, BS and MS degrees in Biology and a BS in Chemistry. We currently serve ~800 undergraduate majors and ~30 graduate (Masters) students.
