The School of Media, Arts and Communication (MAC) seeks an exceptional educator for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Advertising and Public Relations. Reporting to the school director, the Visiting Assistant Professor designs and facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction within an academic discipline to ensure quality delivery of instruction and integration of content within an academic work unit. Responsibilities include providing for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online, and/or laboratory settings, including grading. The successful candidate will serve as an instructor of record, teaching undergraduate courses in advertising and public Relations, with emphases on public relations writing, strategy, media relations, and community relations, advertising media planning, strategic integrated marketing communication (IMC), and social media and digital content creation. They will serve as a flexible instructional resource for the college, potentially supporting other areas as needed, such as Journalism, Media Studies, Advertising, or Communication Studies. The position will participate in school meetings and contribute to curriculum discussions as appropriate. Service activities may include advising student organizations, serving discipline level committees, and other duties as assigned.
