About The Position

The Quality Technician / Vision Inspection Programmer plays a critical role within our Receiving Inspection team, supporting the inspection of complex components that cannot be measured using traditional tools. This position is responsible for operating advanced vision inspection systems to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on execution, with opportunities to support programming and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in inspection or manufacturing
  • Experience with vision inspection systems (Keyence, OGP, CMM, etc.)
  • Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation
  • Experience with traditional inspection tools
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and ERP/MRP proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Vision system programming experience (Measure X, Zone3)
  • IPC certifications (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD)
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
  • Automation or process improvement exposure

Responsibilities

  • Operate and perform inspections using OGP Smart Scope and Keyence IM Series systems
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections using established procedures
  • Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles
  • Utilize precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator)
  • Inspect complex components not measurable with standard tools
  • Support First Article Inspections, NCRs, and verification activities
  • Adhere to internal command media and quality standards
  • Support development of inspection programs (preferred)
  • Assist in cross-training team members
  • Contribute to process improvements
  • Support overtime as required
