Our work depends on a Virtualization Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Virtualization Engineer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for physical/virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, etc. In this role, a typical day will include: Design and build virtual environment service models including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service. Identify, design, and implement process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability Designs, implements, and maintains VMWare vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN. Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops system architecture and system design documentation Interacts with the Government regarding technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.

Requirements

10+ Years of experience in relevant field and a High School Diploma.
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking
Knowledge with configuration of virtual switches
VLANs VMware Certified Professional certification

Responsibilities
