About The Position

The responsibilities of the Virtual Teller is to provide members with services such as but not limited to, cash and check withdrawals, cash and check deposits, transfers, loan and visa payments, transaction information, and product/services recommendations. The Virtual Teller will assist members via the Interactive Teller Machines located at multiple Branch locations. The Virtual Teller is constantly seeking out opportunities to expand our member's relationship with the Credit Union through education of products and services that will benefit the financial needs of our members. This role requires the willingness to work flexible schedules to accommodate the hours and business needs of the Virtual Branch.

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years of customer service and cash handling experience.

  • Employee must possess problem resolution skills
  • Maintain knowledge of rules and regulations that govern credit unions including but not limited to, BSA, OFAC and Reg. CC.
  • Perform job functions independently, or with limited supervision, and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
  • Read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
  • Complete complex mathematical calculations and spell accurately
  • Speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence
  • Deal calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public
  • Perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace

Responsibilities

  • Displays an engaging, on-screen presence, positive attitude, and effective communication style through video conferencing.
  • Facilitates ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) process for members by providing step-by-step guidance during the member interaction, with a focus on educating members how the technology works to make them comfortable and competent utilizing the machine.
  • Works independently and uses effective problem-solving skills to complete member requests and resolve issues.
  • Performs routine teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing accurately, verbally confirming intended transactions with member prior to completion.
  • Balance virtual teller drawer by verifying all transactions match daily balance reports from TellerNow! and Symitar.
  • Complete individual check balancing and posting to the appropriate GL for cash transactions.
  • Immediately notify Supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Actively listens to identify product/service recommendations during the member interaction while creating small talk to build rapport and increase member engagement.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Other duties may be required from time-to-time to assist the Call Center and Digital Banking Leadership teams as needed.
