About this role: Boston Scientific’s Virtual Sales Representative (VSR) is a remote-virtual role within the Peripheral Interventions Division. The VSR will be assigned to a specific virtual territory, in which there is potential to convert and grow the business. VSR’s will be held accountable to deliver exceptional service through team driven directives, revenue impact, clinical education needs, and execution of new business opportunities that reflect the company’s strategy and priorities. The role works collaboratively to provide support and drive sales revenue at identified accounts as directed by the Virtual Sales Manager. Virtual Sales Reps may be required to travel to accounts and work outside primary assignments as required by business conditions. This territory will include NJ, NY, NH, VT and Maine. Ideally the candidate will live in NYC or NJ (Newark area).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience managing accounts, workflows, or initiatives where success depended on organization, follow-through, and independent decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data or trends (e.g., sales reports, usage patterns, dashboards, forecasts) and translate insights into next steps or recommendations
  • Experience communicating with multiple stakeholder types (customers, internal partners, operations, or leadership) to move work forward without in-person interaction
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
  • Comfort having structured discovery conversations related to pricing, volume, or process efficiency
  • Willingness and ability to operate with accountability, including owning outcomes tied to forecasts, execution, and customer follow-up

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS degree in a business discipline preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or another regulated or operationally complex environment
  • Prior exposure to contract review, pricing discussions, inventory oversight, or margin-sensitive decision-making
  • Experience supporting or leading capital equipment evaluations, trials, or implementation efforts- virtually
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business plans tied to measurable outcomes (forecast accuracy, growth targets, pipeline development)
  • Experience working across a broad product portfolio rather than a single SKU or service
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, reporting dashboards, or performance tracking tools used to manage territories or accounts
  • Track record of applying feedback and coaching to improve execution, efficiency, and results over time

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships through routine virtual and occasional live visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, product in-services, procedural observation, and problem resolution. Relationships will be established with Physicians, Nurses, Technologists, Materials Management and Hospital Administration. Limited procedural support may be needed, as business needs arise.
  • Works seamlessly with all internal partners, including field sales teams, toward the achievement of territory and national objectives.
  • Work closely with Virtual Sales Manager to evaluate business conditions and sales trends.
  • Develop quarterly/annual business plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide timely updates to Virtual Sales Manager on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
  • Manage expense budget and promotional budget within the guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales expenses, customer files, and field sales reports.
  • Submit any required administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Conduct all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advamed Policies, and Integrity Policies.
  • Occasional weekend and evening trade show and/or meeting participation
  • Committed travel 10-20%.
