About The Position
WDJT-TV, Weigel Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate in Milwaukee Wisconsin, is searching for a Part-Time Video Editor. This position is a part-time weekend early mornings role supporting the Morning Newscasts. The company is a family-owned business committed to storytelling in local communities, with an entrepreneurial spirit, dedicated to providing viewers with quality news and sports in a dynamic, inclusive, fast-paced newsroom.
Requirements
- Non-linear experience
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Must be flexible with working hours
Nice To Haves
- Preferably using Edius software
- Previous newscast editing experience
Responsibilities
- Editing news and sports for Morning Newscasts
- Posting video to digital platforms
- Utilizing different sources including feeds, archives, and raw video to assemble various types of news stories
