About The Position

The USGA is offering a full-time, paid internship to highly motivated and committed video production intern wishing to build upon their college education with practical professional creative experience in the fast-paced world of the golf. The Video Production Intern is responsible for the assistance in creation and distribution of video to be published on USGA digital channels (social, USGA websites, and other digital platforms). S/he must be a self-starter with production experience, able to slide into a variety of junior production roles. This position will be a part of the USGA’s Marketing and Creative team and will assist colleagues in bringing the USGA’s video content to life, including both championship and non-championship news and features. They are solutions-oriented self-starter behind the camera and in the edit suite, who can keep the USGA’s goals and mission in mind when making decisions. The successful team member understands how to tailor the story to different platforms with an emphasis on social media. The internship would begin Spring of 2026 and is up to a yearlong. This position is based in Liberty Corner, NJ.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in video production
  • Knowledge of the entire video production process
  • Completed bachelor’s or graduate degree
  • Experience with Mac and digital photography
  • Basic knowledge of video production equipment and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Understanding of DSLR and cinema cameras
  • Pursuing or obtained bachelor’s degree in discipline emphasizing storytelling and multimedia content creation
  • A creative mindset and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A passion for interactive, multimedia storytelling
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Appreciation of the game of golf, especially as it relates to USGA activities and mission

Responsibilities

  • Assist editors with postproduction duties
  • Screen and log footage
  • Transcribe Interviews
  • Maintain organized file systems
  • Contribute to video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Assist in publishing and distributing video content for web and social media.
  • Ability to finish videos for digital output (color correction/balance and sound design/audio mixing) including exports and compressing for individual channels.
  • Archive media for future use. Clip and organize footage on NAS server and cloud.
  • Assist with pre-production tasks, including research, scripting, scheduling, and organizing shoots. Collaborate with producers and editors to brainstorm and execute creative concepts.
  • Support on-set production, including camera operation, lighting, audio setup, and equipment management.
