As a Communications Intern at Rural King, you’ll have the opportunity for
Content Creation: Develop engaging media content to support learning and development, and associate engagement across our organization.
Visual Storytelling: Produce videos that capture our brand, culture, and people authentically.
Video Production: Take charge of shooting and editing videos that showcase the heart of Rural King.
On-Site Shooting: Visit our stores and Store Support Center to film real moments with our team members.
Project Support: Collaborate with our Learning & Development team on projects, bringing your creativity and fresh perspective.

Requirements

• Must be a current LIFT student in Mattoon, IL, enrolled in communications, marketing, or related field.
• Skilled with video and audio equipment.
• Experienced in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
• Creative, self-driven, and enthusiastic about visual storytelling.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
• Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
• Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
• Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
• Close vision for computer-related activities.
