Alcon is seeking a Video Production Intern to join the Creative Services team in Ft. Worth, TX. The video production intern is responsible for executing projects as assigned such as, assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the producer and the client. This individual must possess knowledge of video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts, and work according to a strict time schedule. The video production intern can translate the client and producer's idea into a video piece worthy of broadcasting. In this role, a typical day will include: Meeting with the producer and client to determine production vision Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list Supporting all aspects of the video and audio studios Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value Trimming footage and creating the rough project Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence Consulting with direct management, producer, and/or creative team throughout the project. Creating the final cut for broadcasting as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to the internship, and at least one additional semester following your internship.
  • Must have a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Must be pursuing at least a bachelor’s degree in film, television, digital media or related discipline
  • Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis. Students on an F1 visa with CPT work authorization may be accommodated
  • Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship, full time (40 hrs./week)

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with the producer and client to determine production vision
  • Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list
  • Supporting all aspects of the video and audio studios
