Vice President, Sales – Vendor Financing (Small Ticket) Overview The Vice President, Sales – Vendor Financing is a senior individual‑contributor sales role responsible for originating and closing small‑ticket vendor financing transactions for First Business Bank Equipment Finance. This position is designed for an experienced equipment finance producer who owns their pipeline, brings established vendor relationships, and can hit the ground running with their own production. The successful candidate will have deep experience in small‑ticket vendor programs, a demonstrated record of individual sales performance, and the ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and execution levels. The VP will develop, expand, and manage vendor relationships across defined target markets, positioning the Company as a preferred financing partner. This role works closely with Company leadership, credit, operations, and servicing teams to drive scalable growth, strong portfolio performance, and an exceptional vendor and customer experience. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in equipment finance with a primary focus on the small‑ticket vendor financing segment
  • Demonstrated, verifiable track record of individual sales production and profitable origination.
  • Minimum 5 years of success in new vendor development and ongoing account management.
  • Extensive experience developing, structuring, and managing vendor programs end‑to‑end.
  • Strong working knowledge of lease and loan documentation, with significant experience negotiating documentation with end‑user borrowers.
  • Advanced proficiency in transaction structuring and pricing, including use of TValue and financial calculators.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Self‑directed, independent producer who maintains a high level of professionalism while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and actively manage a personal pipeline from prospecting through closing, with direct accountability for origination volume, yield, and profitability.
  • Generate new originations through disciplined, proactive prospecting (both in person and virtually) of small‑ticket equipment vendors and select direct end‑use customers.
  • Leverage an established industry network and existing vendor relationships to drive immediate and sustained production.
  • Consistently meet or exceed defined volume and profitability goals.
  • Identify, solicit, and onboard new vendor relationships aligned with target markets and credit appetite.
  • Establish and manage vendor financing programs, engaging at the C‑suite and senior leadership level to build long‑term, strategic partnerships.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition and equip vendors with marketing materials, tools, and processes to successfully offer financing programs to their customers.
  • Represent at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Provide consultative financing support to vendors and end‑user customers, including quoting, transaction structuring, and presenting tailored financing solutions.
  • Engage directly with end‑user customers as needed to support deal flow and close transactions.
  • Ensure accurate transaction structuring, pricing, and documentation in alignment with internal policies and credit standards.
  • Partner with leadership to identify new target markets, verticals, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with credit, operations, and servicing teams to ensure efficient onboarding, funding, and ongoing portfolio support.
  • Share market insights and feedback to help refine products, vendor programs, and go‑to‑market strategies.
