About The Position

The Vice President, Product Strategy, Business Insights & Performance Analytics serves as a senior strategic advisor to the Pharma Business Unit Executive Vice President, providing enterprise-level leadership across strategy, business insights, and performance management. This role owns the integration of market intelligence, portfolio insights, and business performance analytics to inform executive decision-making, optimize portfolio performance, and drive sustainable growth. The VP partners closely with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Pricing, Contracting, Data, and IT leaders to elevate forecasting rigor, business reviews, and performance cadences, while shaping strategic decisions related to contracting, pricing, supply, and portfolio optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred).
  • Minimum 12+ years diverse experience in Business Strategy, Business Insights, and Commercial Performance roles within the US Generic injectable markets.
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership or direct strategic advisory to BU leadership, with strong performance management and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Contracting, Gross to Net, Commercial Contracting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, GPOs, Government Contracting, Specialty Distribution, and Compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to business performance reviews (QBRs, Portfolio Reviews, Executive Business Reviews).
  • Demonstrated ability to triangulate data from primary and secondary sources into strategic recommendations. Qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and influencing skills, with experience operating effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Strong executive presence with superior communication skills, capable of presenting to and engaging with Executive Leadership Teams.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools, data visualization platforms, and performance reporting systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and drive business performance improvements.
  • A collaborative leader who demonstrates curiosity, gravitas, and the ability to challenge conventional thinking while fostering organizational alignment and building cross functional trust among stakeholders and peers.
  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required (approximately 15% - 20%) and based on business need (via public transportation: air/auto); may require overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor and performance integrator to the Pharma Business Unit Executive Vice President, providing enterprise-level perspective and leadership across the Business Unit and Commercial organization to drive sustainable growth and value creation.
  • Own the synthesis and governance of business performance analytics, market intelligence, and portfolio insights, translating complex data into executive-ready insights and actionable recommendations that inform strategic and operational decision-making across the enterprise.
  • Provide executive leadership and cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Contracting, Supply Chain, Finance, and other key stakeholders to elevate forecasting rigor, monthly business reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), portfolio reviews, and core business performance cadences.
  • Shape and influence enterprise-level strategic decisions related to contracting, pricing, supply allocation, procurement strategies, and portfolio optimization (inline and pipeline), while ensuring clear Commercial accountability for execution and results.
  • Set the strategic direction for performance visualization, analytics, and reporting capabilities, partnering with Data & IT leadership to design, implement, and continuously enhance tools that improve transparency, speed, and quality of executive decision-making.
  • Lead the development and delivery of cohesive business performance narratives in partnership with Commercial leadership, clearly articulating business drivers, root causes, risks, and opportunities to BU Leadership, while enabling lifecycle management (LCM) and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain and apply deep executive-level expertise in market dynamics and customer contracting, including: GPOs, Specialty Distributors, 340B, Apexus, VA, and FSS contracting frameworks Institutional customer classes of trade (COT) ASP market dynamics Competitive landscape and evolving market pressures
  • Sponsor and facilitate enterprise cross-functional workstreams to align senior stakeholders around strategic priorities, resolve trade-offs, and drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and portfolio optimization.
  • Act as a transformational change leader and enterprise harmonizer, challenging legacy processes and assumptions while fostering collaboration, accountability, and a performance-driven culture across the organization.
  • Ensure strategic and operational decisions are grounded in robust data triangulation and real-world operational insight, balancing analytical rigor with a pragmatic understanding of supply, executional, and market realities.
  • Attends local, national, and global meetings as needed.
  • Completes all training requirements, including all department-specific, compliance training, etc.
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
