About The Position

As the Vice President of Product Marketing (VP, PMM), you will be a key member of the SmartRecruiters Executive Leadership Team (ELT), with primary responsibility for how SmartRecruiters shows up in the market. Reporting the CMO, you will lead the global Product Marketing function, ensuring it operates as the strategic translator between the changing trends and dynamics of our market, our complex customer needs, and our expanding product portfolio, at this critical time as we integrate with SAP SuccessFactors.. This role leads Product, Customer and Partner Marketing functions ensuring alignment across all key audiences to support our ambitious growth goals.

Requirements

  • Deep, executive-level experience in Product Marketing within a B2B SaaS environment, with proven success in managing a product portfolio, driving high-impact GTM strategy.
  • Expertise in strategic Pricing & Packaging, Positioning and Messaging, Relations, and developing global segmentation and persona strategies.
  • Proven ability to operate at the ELT level, driving cross-functional projects and communicating complex market and product strategy to executive stakeholders.
  • A track record of building and leading high-performing teams across Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and/or Channel Marketing functions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to serve as a public-facing spokesperson and market evangelist.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Vision and Strategy: Define the global PMM, Customer Marketing, and Channel Marketing vision and strategy, directly contributing to the company's growth and market category leadership.
  • Strategic Positioning & Messaging: Own the development and framework for all core product positioning, value messaging, and competitive narratives, ensuring consistency and impact across all channels and GTM motions.
  • Portfolio Packaging & Pricing: Lead the creation of product packaging, pricing, and naming strategies to align the product portfolio with market needs and maximize revenue realization.
  • GTM & Launch Excellence: Direct the overall Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and execution for all major product releases and launches, ensuring cohesive, integrated execution across the organization including awareness, demand and enablement.
  • Executive Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary PMM representative on the ELT, closely partnering with Product, Sales, and Customer Success leadership to influence roadmaps, gather market feedback, and ensure GTM readiness.
  • Customer Advocacy & Upsell: Oversee the Customer Marketing function, leveraging customer stories and insights for market impact and developing messaging strategies to support customer retention and upsell opportunities.
  • Partner Strategy & Enablement: Establish the strategy for enabling and driving growth through strategic sales channels, co-creating programs and messaging frameworks for partner and indirect sales motions.
  • Competitive Intelligence Leadership: Drive the Competitive Intelligence practice, arming the GTM organization with content and insights (e.g., battlecards, decks) to maximize competitive win rates in high-value deals.
  • Market Evangelism & Public Speaking: Serve as a compelling public-facing spokesperson and market evangelist at industry events, with media, and with customers, partners, to drive brand awareness and market leadership.
  • High-Performing Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed, high-performing Product Marketing organization, fostering a culture of low ego, customer-centricity, and impact-focused collaboration.
