About The Position

Pantheon WebOps Platform powers the open web, running more than 300,000 sites in the cloud for customers including Google, Princeton, Salesloft and Doctors Without Borders. Every day, thousands of developers and marketers create, iterate, and scale WordPress and Drupal sites to reach billions of people globally. Pantheon’s multitenant, container-based platform enables organizations to manage all of their websites from a single dashboard. Organizations including Clorox and the United Nations drive results through accelerated development and real-time publishing using Pantheon’s collaborative workflows. As the Vice President of Product Management for Pantheon Platform, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Pantheon’s core platform. You’ll lead a high-performing team of product managers, overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle for our platform, which powers hundreds of thousands of websites and supports millions of developers. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and other key stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that enhance the user experience and drive business growth. This is a key leadership role, responsible for aligning product strategy with company objectives and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of product management experience, including 8+ years in leadership roles within SaaS or PaaS organizations.
  • Proven track record of defining and executing product strategy at scale, delivering impactful results.
  • Deep technical expertise, with a solid understanding of platform architecture and web technologies.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing product teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance customer needs with business goals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Data-driven decision-making approach, with a strong grasp of analytics and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Define and Drive Product Strategy
  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for Pantheon’s platform, aligned with company goals.
  • Own the platform roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements that deliver maximum value to customers and the business.
  • Lead competitive analysis and market research to identify new opportunities and keep Pantheon at the forefront of WebOps innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment on product priorities and initiatives.
  • Lead and Scale a High-Performing Team
  • Build, mentor, and manage a team of Product Managers, fostering professional growth and developing future leaders.
  • Establish best practices for product management, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution across all teams.
  • Inspire the team to think big, take calculated risks, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Drive Execution and Delivery
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and other teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products.
  • Measure product performance and success, using data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the platform meets the highest standards of scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate and Influence at Scale
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategy and decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Act as a champion for Pantheon’s platform, evangelizing its value internally and externally.

  • The US base salary range for this position is 229,680 - 287,100 USD per year.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
  • At Pantheon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
