About the Role The Vice President, Product & Innovation defines and owns Esquire’s enterprise product vision and roadmap, ensuring product investments deepen client engagement, improve employee productivity, and deliver meaningful return on investment. This role serves as a senior leader and advocate for innovation, partnering closely with Operations, IT, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to bring strategy to life through disciplined product execution.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field required; JD or MBA preferred
  • Experience: 8–10 years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, or innovation leadership
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional product initiatives from concept through delivery
  • Innovation: Demonstrated experience evaluating and implementing AI-enabled or advanced technology solutions
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and executive-level influence skills
  • Execution: Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution discipline and operational follow-through
  • Environment: Experience operating in complex, cross-functional organizations with competing priorities
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to XX%

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy
  • Define and own a clear, multi-year product vision aligned with Esquire’s enterprise strategy and value-creation priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into a pragmatic, sequenced product roadmap spanning core platforms, internal tools, and client-facing innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure product decisions are grounded in measurable business outcomes, return on investment, and client impact.
  • Own final prioritization recommendations for the enterprise production roadmap, balancing growth, efficiency, risk, and scalability considerations.
  • Innovation, Adjacencies, and New Product Development
  • Identify, incubate, and scale new product concepts, adjacent offerings, and enabling capabilities.
  • Evaluate and pursue build, buy, or partner approaches to accelerate innovation and reduce time to value.
  • Act as a visible advocate for innovation and client experience in senior leadership discussions.
  • Make data-informed recommendations on product investment, experimentation, continuation, or sunsetting.
  • Client and Market Insight
  • Engage directly with client and internal users to understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs, and translate those insights into product decisions.
  • Translate client and market insights into clear product requirements, prioritization decisions, and trade-off recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure products reflect real-world usage, buying dynamics, and delivery constraints.
  • Ensure product discovery and validation practices are embedded consistently across the organization.
  • Technology and Platform Enablement
  • Partner with IT and technology leaders to shape platforms and systems that support internal users and external clients.
  • Ensure internal tools materially improve employee productivity and enable a consistent, high-quality client experience.
  • Ensure client-facing platforms add tangible value for users and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Clarify and uphold the division of responsibilities between Product and Technology with Product accountable for business outcomes and Technology accountable for solution delivery.
  • AI Leadership and Enablement
  • Serve as the organization’s senior product and business leader for artificial intelligence initiatives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and champion AI use cases that enhance client value and internal workflows.
  • Build organizational fluency around AI opportunities, trade-offs, and limitations through education and applied use cases.
  • Ensure AI initiatives align with data privacy, security, ethical use, and legal-industry standards.
  • Product Delivery and Execution
  • Ensure high-quality product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog hygiene.
  • Own end-to-end product delivery from discovery through launch, iteration, and ongoing optimization.
  • Drive prioritization and sequencing decisions across competing initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Hold the product team accountable for delivery quality, timeliness, and outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor product performance metrics, including adoption, usage, business impact, and client satisfaction.
  • Go-to-Market and Commercialization
  • Lead product launches with clear positioning for clients and internal teams.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to drive adoption, usage, and value realization.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and guide iteration based on usage data, feedback, and business results.
  • Align with relevant stakeholders on pricing, packaging, and value articulation to support revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, Marketing, and Sales on implementation strategy, planning, and execution
