About The Position

Regardless of where you work within the company, you’ll be helping provide protection and peace of mind when our customers need it most. The VP, Procurement will lead the company’s procurement transformation, implementing a center-led approach to balance cost, performance and risk to meet future business needs. Direct reports will include Procurement Enablement and Operations Leader (who will manage a team of Procurement Analysts/Sr Analysts) and Category Managers focused on overseeing strategies and action plans in high spend categories.

  • Strong ability to influence without formal authority.
  • 10+ years of experience leading procurement functions in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Experience implementing center-led or centralized procurement models.
  • Strong background in change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven success driving change with supporting business cases that involve process and technology implementations.
  • Strong track record of delivering significant and sustainable cost reductions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition to a center-led procurement model to align with enterprise goals.
  • Streamline and improve procurement lifecycle processes and clarify roles.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to source and implement new procurement platform with appropriate integration to existing technologies.
  • Drive adoption of centralized policies, tools, and category strategies.
  • Manage and coach staff during the change process.
  • Work with other second lines to design and implement cohesive policies and processes that comply with regulatory and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Align and promote common terminology.
  • Build and mentor a high performing team to drive and sustain value through strategic vendor relationships.
  • Champion the transition to leverage actionable data to improve visibility and decision making related to managing external spend.
  • Work with stakeholders and leadership to implement an appropriate governance framework and policies that align with the company's culture and standards.
  • Provide input on strategies to Category Managers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as Chief Negotiator in complex and/or strategic dealmaking and/or dispute settlement.
