The Vice President of Wound Care Operations provides enterprise‑wide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for all wound care services across inpatient, outpatient, SNF, LTACH, and community‑based settings. This business executive role is responsible for driving clinical excellence, profitability, operational scalability, and sustainable growth of the wound care service line while ensuring best‑practice and evidence‑based patient outcomes. The VP of Wound Care Operations partners closely with executive leadership, physician leaders, and operations to translate organizational strategy into high‑performing wound care programs, serving as the senior accountable business leader for quality, financial performance, growth and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time role operating during standard business hours Monday - Friday (from your home office remotely). Quarterly travel for company meetings and trainings will be required. The candidate must reside in the U.S. - Eastern or Central time zone. Annual salary is $200,000 (commensurate with experience and requirements below) plus up to 15% annual discretionary performance bonus. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or in Nursing
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive business leadership experience in wound care clinical operations with a focus on profitability and growth
  • Proven success leading growth initiatives, operational scaling, and quality improvement in wound care
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing operations/business of multi‑site or multi‑market clinical programs
  • Clinical background (RN, NP, PA, MD, DO) and Wound care certification (CWS, CWCN, FACCWS)
  • This is a full-time remote, work-from-home position, primarily working during standard business hours handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Work must be performed in a private and secure setting requiring reliable internet and phone connectivity.
  • Ability to communicate via virtual/online meetings daily with a camera on, as well as being responsive in a timely manner during work hours via email, MS Teams and phone.
  • Ability to travel for company training and meetings.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Executive Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise wound care strategy aligned with organizational growth, quality, and value‑based care goals.
  • Serve as the executive leader for all wound care service lines, including outpatient wound centers, inpatient consultative services, post‑acute and SNF programs.
  • Advise C‑suite leadership on market expansion, service‑line optimization, and emerging wound care models and technologies.
  • Lead strategic planning for new program launches, acquisitions, joint ventures, and geographic expansion.
  • Clinical Quality & Program Excellence Ensure delivery of high‑quality, evidence-based wound care across all settings, aligned with national clinical standards and best practices.
  • Partner with Medical Directors, physicians, APPs, and nursing leaders to standardize care pathways, protocols, and documentation.
  • Oversee quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes, healing rates, infection reduction, and prevention of pressure injuries.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within wound care teams.
  • Operational & Financial Oversight Provide executive oversight for wound care operations, including staffing models, resource utilization, workflow optimization, and clinic performance.
  • Own wound care budget development, forecasting, and financial performance, including revenue cycle optimization and cost management.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical outcomes, access, productivity, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, accreditation, and payer requirements related to wound care services.
  • Growth, Market Expansion & Physician Engagement Drive growth strategies for wound care services across hospitals, SNFs, LTACHs, and community‑based settings.
  • Partner with business development, physician relations, and marketing teams to build referral networks and strengthen provider engagement.
  • Assess market demand, competitive dynamics, and service gaps to inform expansion opportunities.
  • Support innovation in wound care delivery models.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development Develop, and lead a high‑performing wound care team, including program directors, and clinical leaders.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration across clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
  • Support ongoing professional development, education, and competency advancement in wound care best practices.
