Executive Leadership Opportunity: VP of Operations Location/Territory: Based out of Pleasanton, CA; Overseeing our expansive footprint throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento, and neighboring communities. Requirements

  • 15+ years’ experience as an operator or senior operations executive in a residential services company or multi-trade environment. Prefer multi-location management.
  • Strong P&L management and operational scaling expertise, ideally in a $50M–$250M revenue environment.
  • Experience with and understanding residential building systems and trade coordination.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in operational software and project management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Results-driven with a hands-on approach.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and team motivation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations leadership team.
  • Leading with our company core values and purpose, foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Direct and optimize daily operations across all trade divisions.
  • Implement systems and processes to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the President and executive team to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
  • Work closely with Wrench Group (holding company) staff to ensure Service Champions continues its role as a sales and profitability leader.
  • Identify growth opportunities, including geographic expansion and service diversification.
  • Manage and optimize all aspects of our daily operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Coordinate with various departments, such as Call Center, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Marketing, to ensure seamless integration and productivity.
  • Monitor operational data, set performance benchmarks, and drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the organization.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor financial reports, and take action to control expenses and achieve financial goals.
  • Lead and motivate the management team, foster a supportive work environment, and build high-performing operational teams.
  • Report to the President on company performance, operational challenges, and accomplishments, offering input on important business events.
