To learn more about us, visit www.impact-advisors.com Impact Advisors is seeking a strategic and operationally sophisticated Vice President of Revenue Cyle Operations to lead Client Revenue Cycle Operations within our Managed Services Division. This leader will oversee all aspects of Revenue Cycle operations for an Impact Advisors Managed Services Client with operations in California. This role is critical to a large-scale Health System client undergoing a major Epic EHR implementation targeted for 2027, alongside broader revenue cycle transformation initiatives, including the design and transition of a centralized business office (CBO) in the Southern US. The VP will bring deep operational expertise, strong executive presence, and experience leading in complex Epic-enabled environments, while delivering measurable financial and operational outcomes. This is a high-visibility leadership role interfacing with health system executives, physician leaders, revenue cycle teams, and Impact Advisors’ consulting and technology teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in: Healthcare provider revenue cycle operations. Revenue cycle consulting. Managed services / outsourcing environments.
  • Demonstrated success in large, complex health system environments.
  • Extensive experience operating within Epic revenue cycle platforms (e.g, Resolute, Cadence, Prelude).
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale transformations or EHR implementations.
  • Experience establishing or managing a Central Business Office (CBO) or shared services model.
  • Leadership & Functional Expertise Deep expertise across end-to-end revenue cycle functions.
  • Strong financial acumen, including revenue forecasting, cost optimization, and margin improvement.
  • Experience working in executive governance models and managing senior client stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead large, distributed teams (including hybrid/onshore/offshore models).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership & Client Partnership Serve as a senior executive of Revenue Cycle operations for $1.3 Billion Health System and act as a liaison between Impact Advisors and client leadership (CFO and Operations executives).
  • Operate within a co-management governance structure, including Executive Steering Committees and operational forums.
  • Provide strategic direction across all revenue cycle functions, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Revenue Cycle Operations Oversight Direct oversite of Client RCM leaders and staff across core revenue cycle domains: Patient Access (Scheduling, Financial Clearance, Authorization) HIM, Coding, and CDI Billing, Follow-Up, and Denials Management Cash Posting and Patient Financial Services
  • Drive KPI improvement across key metrics (cash collections, AR days, denial rates, point-of-service collections, etc.).
  • Implement standardized workflows, performance management frameworks, and reporting structures.
  • Epic EHR Deployment (Primary Year 1 Focus) Provide executive leadership and operational readiness support for Epic revenue cycle implementation (2027 go-live).
  • Partner with IT, clinical, and operational stakeholders to: Ensure revenue cycle design aligns with best practices. Optimize workflows across Epic modules (e.g., Resolute, Cadence, Prelude). Lead operational readiness, testing, training, and stabilization planning. Identify and mitigate revenue risk during transition.
  • Central Business Office (CBO) Development Lead the strategy, design, and execution of a Southern US-based Central Business Office.
  • Define operating model, staffing strategy (onshore/offshore mix), and functional scope.
  • Establish scalable processes, governance, and performance management infrastructure.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development for CBO operations.
  • Define the appropriate mix of Central Business Office staffing and Impact Advisors Nearshore business office staffing in support of the Revenue Cycle operations.
  • Managed Services Delivery & Transformation Lead day-to-day execution of managed services delivery model.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs), financial targets, and client commitments are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support development of shared value-based pricing outcomes.
