About The Position

The Vice President of Property Management is responsible for overseeing the management of all properties owned or operated by the company. This includes ensuring that all properties are well-maintained, fully leased, and generating maximum revenue. The VP of Property Management is also responsible for developing and implementing property management strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Develop and implement property management strategies to maximize profitability and resident satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and tenant satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets for each property, ensuring that expenses are within budget and revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure that properties are well-maintained and meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as human resources recruiting and marketing, to ensure that properties are marketed effectively and vacancies are filled quickly.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our property management operations remain competitive and effective.
  • Manages and supervises the administration, improvement, maintenance, and general operations of residential properties, commercial, or industrial properties.
  • Collects fees, including those for monthly assessments, rentals, deposits, insurance, taxes, or other operating expenses.
  • Determine whether repairs and/or maintenance are needed based on regular inspections of the grounds, facilities, and equipment.
  • Acts as the liaison between onsite managers, tenants, and owners.
  • Develops and presents detailed budgets and financial reports on the property.
  • Maintains property rental, or usage activity; maintenance, operating costs, and property availability.
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations division.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals.
  • Collaborates with other departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and property management software such as Yardi Voyager.
  • Real estate management certification, such as a Certified Property Manager (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), or similar certification.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and financial reports.
  • Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations related to property management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • The VP of Property Management must be able to travel to various properties as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk and to work on a computer.
