We are a family of more than 2,500 team members who Work With Excellence, Serve With Heart . Westminster’s Pharmacy, Longevity Scripts, is searching for a Vice President of Pharmacy Services. In this role, the Vice President of Pharmacy Services is responsible for developing, directing and overseeing the operations of the Pharmacy Services for Westminster Services, Inc. and its affiliates. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited University/School required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in long-term pharmacy care
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a management role
  • Experience in Central Fill and Mail Order Pharmacy licensing requirements and implementation
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors
  • Knowledge of current state and federal pharmacy regulations with regard to LTC pharmacy services
  • Knowledge and experience in organizing and operating pharmacy services in a variety of models in serving a multitude of regional customers and organizations
  • Knowledge of USP 800 IV/Clean Room Regulations
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations concerning long-term care
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical care practices for adult and geriatric patients
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at all levels of the organization
  • Skilled at directing and motivating the workforce

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and evaluating pharmacy reporting processes and aggressively works to maintain and exceed quality standards.
  • Participating in the development of the budget, strategic plan and growth and monitors financial reports relating to performance.
  • Identifying and analyzing variances, and compiles data for review.
  • Initiating and implementing policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, use and disposal of drugs and biological in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing goals and strategies to meet business growth goals.
  • Implementing cost containment strategies occurs on all dispensing and procurement activities.
  • Attending/Overseeing Pharmacy Director meetings, appropriate staff meetings, teleconferences and Community Support Services meetings as required.
  • Maintaining proper staffing levels for budget management.
  • Overseeing, developing and planning the pharmacy IT’s strategic vision for automation.
  • Obtains and maintains all required compliance documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and Westminster policy.
  • Effectively and harmoniously interacts with facilities, physicians, and other pharmacy employees at all levels; promoting teamwork and demonstrating strong leadership skills and professionalism.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, staff, services and government agencies.
  • Complying with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Responsible for starting new pharmacy location(s), and oversight of multi-site and multi-state locations.
