About The Position

Perkins Management Services is a leading provider of comprehensive food service solutions, offering cafeteria services, catering services, and retail services (including branded outlets like Fuddruckers, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Chick-Fil-A, and more). We serve a diverse clientele in the educational and government sectors across Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Washington, DC. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, nutritionally sound, and culturally diverse dining experiences. We are on the brink of expansion, with new clients and geographical locations on the horizon. In alignment with our growth, we are seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead our dynamic team. Location: Washington, DC (with extensive travel to our units)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Food Operations-related field
  • Proven track record of strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse team
  • Experience managing high volume and multi-account responsibility; with at least 5 or more years of experience
  • A strong background in hospitality and operations
  • Financial and creative problem-solving acumen

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in a Food Operations-related field
  • Experience managing high volume and multi-account responsibility; with at least 10 or more years of experience
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations to drive client value

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across all accounts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services.
  • Manage and mentor 4 District Managers, guiding them in overseeing operations in Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Washington, DC.
  • Conduct weekly Operations Management Calls to ensure cohesive strategies and operations across all units.
  • Engage in budget management, overseeing the financial health and resource allocation of each account.
  • Lead talent review and talent acquisition processes to ensure high-quality staffing at the account level.
  • Foster strong customer service relations with client leadership at each account, acting as a senior representative of Perkins Management Services.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to meet and exceed organizational goals.
  • Measure operational success using key performance indicators and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Senior Executive Vice President, providing situational awareness and insights into all operational matters.
