About The Position

Florida Vice President of Operations (VPO) is the senior statewide leader responsible for operational excellence, enrollment growth, financial stewardship, and safe, high-functioning campus environments across all IDEA Florida schools. Reporting to the Florida Executive Director, the VPO holds full accountability for statewide operational outcomes, including recruitment and enrollment, student attendance, facilities readiness, safety and operational compliance, and will directly supervise an Auxiliary Services Director. The VPO directly supervises statewide operational leaders and sets a cohesive operational strategy across six campuses, ensuring disciplined execution, clear performance management, and alignment with academic priorities. In partnership with the Vice President of Schools, the VPO ensures that operational systems enable strong academic performance and an exceptional experience for students, families, and staff. This role requires a strategic, systems-oriented executive who can translate ambitious enrollment and operational goals into measurable results. The VPO must operate with urgency, clarity, and strong judgment while building high-performing operational teams statewide. Location: This is a full-time position based in Florida. Frequent travel across IDEA Florida campuses will be required. Compensation Salary typically ranges between $103,000 to $130,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to statewide outcomes. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of successful operations leadership.
Experience directly supervising and evaluating others.
Demonstrated success driving measurable academic gains.
Proven ability to lead multiple campuses.
Expertise in Florida regulatory requirements strongly preferred.
Strong track record of leading through change while maintaining performance.
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to translate data into strategic action.
Strong executive presence and ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

Hold full accountability for statewide enrollment, attendance, facilities readiness, food service, transportation, and operational compliance.
Support with vendor management and cultivation across various operation departments
Drive corrective action plans when campuses fall short of performance targets.
Ensure all campuses are operationally prepared for Beginning of Year (BOY).
Set and execute a cohesive statewide recruitment and enrollment strategy aligned to growth and financial sustainability goals.
Establish applicant targets and monitor progress through disciplined backward planning.
Ensure 100% enrollment attainment by established deadlines and accurately reported to state for funding.
Establish statewide attendance strategy to meet ADA and chronic absenteeism targets.
Lead analysis of attendance trends and ensure timely interventions.
Partner with academic leaders to align operational systems with strong school culture.
Lead statewide safety and crisis preparedness strategy.
Design and execute long-term facilities maintenance planning to ensure safe, clean, and welcoming campuses.
Oversee execution of auxiliary services, including transportation and other non-instructional services.
Partner closely with the Vice President of Schools to ensure operational systems enable academic success.
Collaborate with the Executive Director on financial and growth strategy.
Represent operational strategy in executive planning and board-level discussions when needed.
