As we continue to grow, we are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Vice President of Operations to help drive operational excellence across all departments. This executive leader will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to ensure alignment, accountability, and execution of BSI's long-term vision. What Makes this Job So Unique? As Vice President, Operations, you will serve as a key architect of BSI's operational strategy and execution. This role goes beyond oversight - it is about building alignment, driving innovation, and creating scalable systems that empower every department to operate at its highest level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7–10 years of operations experience required.
  • Insurance licenses (Life, Accidental & Health) required.
  • High energy level with the ability to perform under significant pressure and frequent interruptions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple complex issues concurrently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in conflict management and resolution.
  • Proactive approach to managing competing priorities with the ability to pivot as needed.
  • Strong analytical business acumen with the ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels.
  • High degree of autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and carrier representatives.
  • Professional conduct and sound judgment to operate within guidelines that prevent Errors & Omissions exposure.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a senior-level leadership position preferred.
  • Insurance carrier or agency experience preferred.
  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and oversee Data Analytics, Customer Service, Operations, and HCM departments and personnel.
  • Integrate business functions to ensure the organization is operating efficiently and aligned toward shared goals.
  • Drive cross-functional communication across all departments to improve transparency and collaboration.
  • Lead AI-powered operational transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities, implementing tools, and guiding adoption across teams.
  • Oversee IT vendors and technology processes to maximize performance and reliability.
  • Identify, define, and design business improvement initiatives; serve as a change agent to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop departmental and corporate goals, monitor performance against plans, and provide regular reporting to the executive team.
  • Oversee company-wide training on BSI processes and procedures to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Manage compliance vendors and initiatives to mitigate risk and maintain operational integrity.
  • Lead special projects related to customer experience and operational enhancements.
  • Maximize vendor partnerships to ensure optimal efficiency and value.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of BSI's strategic plan with a focus on operational excellence, customer experience, and service delivery.
