About The Position

Vice President of Northeast Asphalt, Inc. is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing operations for the northeast Wisconsin region. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations and leads managers who are accountable for executing private and public project operations across the region. This division is responsible for paving, milling, general contracting, and grading operations throughout northeast Wisconsin and oversees all asphalt construction projects. This leadership role partners closely with the EVP of Operations and the Chief Operating Officer to create strategic plans that deliver high-quality, high-service, and value-added work across both public and private portfolios. This position is essential to ensuring strong integration and alignment across all Walbec Group companies. Keep safety as a core value and an integral component of the culture throughout NEA. Develop the strategy for high-quality construction management services, including general contracting, grading, milling, pulverizing, manufacturing, and asphalt paving. Lead the NEA management team responsible for day-to-day operations; facilitate the planning and execution of all work with construction, engineering, and financial support groups. Oversee the due diligence, budgets, site engineering, permitting and scheduling for all projects; ensure successful coordination of all subcontractors for successful project delivery. Maintain strong relationships with public and private entities, such as the Wisconsin DOT, to ensure ethical practices are followed and clearly understood throughout NEA. Ensure all local/regional regulatory safety practices and environmental requirements are consistently met and aligned with the assigned areas of responsibility. Build and maintain successful internal partnerships with key departments including Executive Leadership, Legal, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience within the industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multi-level teams.
  • Engineering degree required (Civil, Mechanical or Structural).
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and drive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
