About The Position

As Vice President, Southwest Hub Operations, your goal is to build a service-minded organization where Team Members feel a sense of belonging and purpose, enjoy coming to work, and come together as a high-performing unit to achieve operational goals and objectives. You will provide vision, guidance, the necessary tools, feedback, and accountability to your assigned Team Members to ensure that they consistently meet/exceed performance expectations. This senior-level operations leadership role has full operational and P&L responsibility and accountability for their assigned location(s) and will be instrumental in shaping our success in a competitive, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of aviation, airline or ground handling, management experience in an operation that is equivalent in size, scope, and responsibility.
  • High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platforms
  • Must be willing to relocate for promotion opportunities
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Communication: Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication
  • Customer Service: Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectations
  • Professionalism: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor

  • Experience working in an airport/aviation industry
  • Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Protect and support HHS Aviation standards for quality at all of the facilities across multiple regions
  • Direct and organize budgetary performance to maintain costs and maximize profits
  • Negotiate and implement contract renewals and addendums with costings that are consistent with company guidelines
  • Manage job sites that have excessive worker’s compensation activity to create a safe work environment
  • Champion new programs and initiatives to drive adoption at the account level
  • Execute and implement startup processes for new accounts
  • Set clear expectations and performance goals and drive compliance across multiple accounts
  • Coach and mentor direct reports to drive success and create a pipeline of promotable leaders for future growth
  • Foster positive relationships between HHS Aviation and partner facility administration
  • Analyze data and make adjustments to meet facility, budget, and compliance goals
  • Provide hands-on assistance as needed to support positive outcomes
