Position Summary Reporting to the CFO, the Vice President of Finance Operations is a key member of the Shields Health executive team, responsible for leading accounting and finance operations and driving operational efficiency. This role requires exceptional leadership, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage a complex network of joint venture partnerships. The VP of Finance Operations will drive financial performance, manage risk and compliance, and develop a stable and growth oriented team to support the business

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial management experience
Proven track record of leading a finance department in complex organizations.
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and applicable state regulatory environments.
Demonstrated ability to transform data into insights and insights into strategy.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to accurately enter information into a computer or related device.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight and leadership over Accounting, Treasury, Payroll, Procurement, Tax, Audit and Risk Management.
Partner with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team to shape financial strategies that support growth, diversification, and long-term sustainability.
Oversee financial aspects of contracts, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
Ensure ethical standards in managing sensitive and confidential information.
Lead and grow a high-performing team with a focus on accuracy, agility, accountability, and collaboration.
Oversee all aspects of financial close, consolidation, and external reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Provide monthly reporting and analysis of financial performance
Oversee annual audit and tax filings
Ensure prompt and correct financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Board, and partners.
Facilitate and support Family Office function and related reporting
Manage Corporate Risk Management programs, including annual insurance renewals, claims management, and compliance reporting.
Develop and implement scalable systems and processes to support organizational complexity and growth, using emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning.
Design and oversee supply chain strategies to perfect cost, efficiency, and service levels across business units.
Apply advanced problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and recommend innovative, practical solutions.
Present financial strategies and performance findings to diverse audiences with clarity and influence.
Demonstrate creativity, diplomacy, and resourcefulness in negotiating and motivating others to achieve desired outcomes.
Continuously check industry’s best practices and introduce enhancements that improve financial operations and strategic decision-making.
