Vice President of Development
About The Position
The Vice President of Development will drive fundraising strategy and execution during an exciting period of growth and transformation. The VP will serve as a member of the senior leadership team, lead enterprise-wide fundraising strategy and long-term philanthropic planning, play a key role in organizational growth initiatives including capital and other revenue generation activities, provide leadership and mentorship to development staff and/or cross-functional teams, and act as a strategic advisor to the President and CEO on revenue diversification and sustainability. The VP will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of fundraising and development strategies, ensuring that objectives are met efficiently and effectively. The Director will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across fundraising functions, including individual giving, major gifts, and corporate partnerships. This role will work closely with the President and CEO, senior leadership, and key community stakeholders to grow philanthropic support aligned with EO Companies’ mission and long-term vision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- At least 10 years of sales, fundraising, or development experience, with progressively responsible leadership positions.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding measurable fundraising goals in a medium-to-large, fast-paced nonprofit environment.
- Strong background in managing all aspects of fundraising, including high net worth individuals, foundations, and corporate relations.
- Proficiency in fundraising applications for comprehensive donor data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of data utilization and management for strategic operations and decision-making.
- Highly creative and entrepreneurial individual who is a strategic thinker and strong fundraiser with a passion for connecting people with an organization’s mission and programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
- Excellent problem-solving abilities; able to provide creative approaches to challenges and opportunities
- A high standard of professional and ethical conduct, integrity, and accountability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure
- Ability to develop, implement, and manage budgets and project plans
- Ability to facilitate meetings and groups
- Computer proficiency and experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, fundraising software, project management software, online meeting software, etc.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
- Reliable high-speed home internet.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of EO Companies’ fundraising strategy, aligned with organizational priorities and growth goals
- Manage and grow a diverse revenue portfolio, including individual donors, foundations, corporations, and public-private partners
- Build, steward, and strengthen relationships with major donors and community leaders
- Partner with the President and CEO, and senior staff to support and advance fundraising efforts
- Oversee donor pipeline management, cultivation strategies, and stewardship practices
- Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis of fundraising performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align development efforts with programmatic and strategic initiatives
- Represent EO Companies externally with professionalism, credibility, and enthusiasm for the mission
