About The Position

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Vice President of Capture will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development of capture strategy to improve the win probability of opportunities in support of Alpha Omega business units. This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Capture and Proposal and\will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, and stakeholders to align strategies with the organization's goals and mission. The VP will also provide surge support for capture, proposal management, and content development activities, as needed.

Requirements

  • Capture and Proposal management/writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience using multiple government contracting websites/tools like: SAM.gov, eBuy, eGOS, FPDS, GAO, IT Dashboard, USASpending, Govwin, G2Exchange, Orange Slices, GovTribe, etc…
  • Demonstrate ability to comprehend client needs, fears, and challenges to design effective win themes and comprehensive solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and their applications
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and Gen AI Tools (e.g., procurement sciences, pwin.ai, etc.)
  • Teaming Agreement negotiation skills
  • Opportunity Call Plan creation/execution
  • Experience evaluating technical and management approaches, key personnel resumes, past performance, staffing and/or transition plans
  • Experience pursuing Full and Open (F&O) opportunities

  • Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with mission, customers, pipeline, and competitive landscape in two or more key Alpha Omega federal customer accounts such as: Department of Homeland Security (DHA), Department of State (DoS), Department of War (DoW), Federal Insurance Deposit Corporation (FDIC), Health and Human Services (HHS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and/or US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Assessment, Strategy Development, and Pursuit Coordination Conduct thorough assessments of potential business opportunities to determine outcomes that improve win probability.
  • Research and understand potential target customers to develop solutions best designed to meet their technological and business needs.
  • Review competitive landscape to develop winning strategies around the areas of technical/management solutions, key personnel, staffing, corporate experience selection, and price.
  • Identify and assess the value that teaming partners bring to a bid.
  • Collect and assess opportunity and programmatic historical trends and information ensuring accurate representation of facts.
  • Develop and routinely present comprehensive capture plans to c-suite, corporate leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide transparent updates, as necessary, to bring awareness to gaps or blockers that prevent opportunity progress.
  • Support price to win development.
  • Support recruiting efforts for Key Personnel, critical resources and potential incumbent staff.
  • Support marketing campaigns and develop marketing collateral.
  • Lead cross-functional teams that may be comprised of parters, business development, technical delivery, human resources, solutioning, marketing pricing, and proposal development personnel to collect intelligence and execute capture strategies.
  • Capture customer objectives, challenges, and pain points.
  • Centralize cross-functional team’s focus to delivering value Network with customer and partner relationships to collect intelligence and advance Foster collaboration and positive synergy amongst team members to ensure alignment with corporate culture
  • Capture/Proposal Center Surge Support For opportunities that you are the main Point of Contact (POC): Provide content development/book boss/reviews capabilities for appropriately assigned sections.
  • For some opportunities where a peer is the main POC: Support proposal development and reviews, as needed.
  • Other duties Lead and support sales process improvement initiatives and implementation Attend and lead meetings and provide insights, as appropriate
