About The Position

The VP of Business Development is responsible for leading the creation and execution of innovative strategies to expand Alice and Olivia’s brand reach. This includes driving high-impact partnerships and collaborations, launching new product categories, and overseeing strategic licensing initiatives. The role demands close alignment with marketing and product teams to ensure all business development activities support the company’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in brand partnerships, licensing, or business development within fashion, luxury, or lifestyle industries.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute creative strategies that elevate brand positioning.
  • Strong track record of structuring and closing complex licensing and collaboration agreements.
  • The ability to effectively understand, use, and apply artificial intelligence tools and concepts to improve work quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Exceptional ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of fashion, consumer trends, and the evolving landscape of brand collaborations.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills to evaluate partnership ROI and licensing opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ideation, negotiation, and management of brand partnerships and collaborations with fashion and lifestyle partners ensuring initiatives amplify brand storytelling, drive relevance, and deliver measurable impact.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to enhance brand positioning and ensure all business development activities align with strategic objectives.
  • Identify and launch licensing opportunities in emerging product categories (e.g., home, beauty, accessories), overseeing agreements and contract negotiations to diversify and grow revenue streams while maintaining brand integrity and profitability.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to inform partnership and licensing strategies.
  • Collaborate with design, merchandising, retail, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external partners, retailers, licensors, and stakeholders to maximize collaboration outcomes.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth and brand equity through effective management of licensing deals and contracts.
