About The Position

As Moneta’s VP of Advisory Services, you'll collaborate closely with Partner Teams and the Enterprise Service Team (EST), tackling unique advisory team dynamics head-on. From team planning, roles and responsibilities, business and communication strategies, your expertise will make a difference in team operations from the vantage point of each role. You'll be at the forefront of teams, guiding them through technical and management initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering an Advisor training program, offering a framework for success in the competencies required for Associate Advisor, Advisor, and Senior Advisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, or related field preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience offering holistic financial planning advice
  • CFP (actively registered)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the firm's primary subject matter expert on all aspects of Advisor team business operations, proactively identifying opportunities to engage with teams based on strategic priorities, performance indicators, or emerging needs
  • Provide high-level consultative guidance to Partner(s) on complex team management dynamics, personnel matters, and escalated client service issues, offering solutions that balance business objectives with client retention and team development
  • Deliver expert consultation across the full spectrum of family CFO services, including investment management, retirement planning, education planning, tax and accounting services, insurance planning, banking and cash management, business planning, estate planning, and philanthropic strategies
  • Synthesize knowledge across service areas to provide holistic recommendations that enhance client outcomes and strengthen Advisor team capabilities
  • Analyze Advisor team workflows to identify operational inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Develop and champion process improvement initiatives that drive consistency, scalability, and service excellence across the firm
  • Partner with leadership to establish metrics for measuring improvement outcomes and ensuring sustainable adoption of best practices
  • Design and implement change management strategies that facilitate smooth transitions during firm initiatives, system implementations, or operational shifts
  • Guide Advisor teams through periods of change by communicating rationale, addressing concerns, providing resources, and monitoring adoption to ensure successful outcomes
  • Develop, deliver, and continuously refine comprehensive training program content tailored to Advisor team needs
  • Ensure training materials reflect current regulatory requirements, firm systems, and evolving best practices
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust curriculum to address knowledge gaps and emerging competency needs
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry trends, Advisor team processes, and Moneta systems
  • Proactively communicate relevant updates to stakeholders and ensure team practices remain compliant and aligned with firm standards
  • Foster a culture of engagement, empowerment, and accountability across Advisor teams
  • Model and promote open, honest, and timely communication at all levels
  • Ensure Moneta's vision, core values, and organizational purpose are consistently integrated into daily operations, decision-making, and team interactions
  • Commit to ongoing education and professional development to maintain authority in family CFO matters and wealth management trends
  • Share knowledge across the organization to elevate firm-wide expertise and reinforce Moneta's position as a leader in comprehensive financial planning
  • Travel to Advisor team locations as necessary to provide in-person support, conduct training, build relationships, and assess team needs firsthand
