About The Position

Summary: The Liquidity Regulatory Reporting is a team responsible for the daily and monthly reporting and submission of FR2052A report for multiple entities under Mizuho US Operations. Additionally, the LRR team produces and monitors daily LCR reporting derived from FR2052a data. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Change team, partnering with the Reporting Production Teams to ensure seamless implementation of various change initiatives including but not limited to New Product Review and Testing, assist in the implementation of critical data elements data quality validation rules, prioritization and remediation of data quality issues and findings. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of financial regulations, and a proven track record in managing regulatory reporting change initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in developing comprehensive change governance framework of the FR2052a reporting process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • In-depth understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining governance and control framework within a regulatory reporting context.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide strategic insights into complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in regulations and business requirements while guiding the team through transitions.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Prior experience with FR2052A reporting is a plus.
  • Prior experience interfacing with regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Change team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team effectiveness and individual growth.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end FR2052a change process, overseeing the preparation of Business Requirement, defining the test scripts, and validating the UAT & Post Day 1 Implementation Results.
  • Identify opportunities for change process improvements.
  • Lead initiatives to define the change governance framework of the FR2052a reporting process, ensuring a robust change framework that aligns with regulatory expectations.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Develop an issue management framework to assess materiality and prioritize issues for remediations.
  • Assist in the implementation of FR2052A Target Operating Model.
  • Collaborate with Treasury Liquidity Management on any changes planned to be remediated to ensure alignment with ILST.
