The Vice President of Information Technology is a key member of Wallick’s leadership team, responsible for shaping and leading the company’s enterprise-wide technology strategy. This role balances innovation with execution, ensuring technology supports and accelerates the business. The VP of IT will lead a modern, responsive, and future-ready IT function that delivers results across infrastructure, cybersecurity, end-user experience, AI enablement, and strategic business transformation. The VP of IT will foster close partnerships with other leaders — particularly in Business Intelligence, Operations Executives, and Finance — to deliver practical, scalable solutions that improve efficiency, service, and data-informed decision-making. The VP of IT will collaborate closely with the Wallick Business Intelligence (BI) team to ensure systems, data infrastructure and architecture, and reporting platforms are aligned and well-integrated across the organization. This leader must also serve as a change agent — capable of driving meaningful digital evolution and transformation, pushing for rapid adoption of AI and automation where it creates value, and aligning the IT roadmap with enterprise growth, efficiency, and innovation This role is in our New Albany office. Some travel to our communities will occur throughout.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressive IT leadership, with experience serving as a strategic partner to executive teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide digital transformations, including ERP systems, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, business intelligence, and AI technologies, including practical implementation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead people and manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or master’s degree in a technology-related discipline.
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or healthcare services industries.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Dayforce), finance (Yardi), and operational systems.
  • Exposure to agile or lean methodologies for digital delivery, practitioner of operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Wallick’s IT roadmap in alignment with business goals and growth plans.
  • Champion the proactive and responsible use of AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, reduce cost, and enhance decision-making.
  • Lead the transformation of IT from a support function to a strategic enabler.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, end-user support, and enterprise systems with a focus on performance, security, and resilience.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure IT solutions meet the evolving needs of their teams and customers.
  • Ensure operational excellence through effective IT governance, vendor management, and service delivery.
  • Establish and manage IT budgets, projects, KPIs, and resource plans aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Influence organizational readiness for digital change through clear communication, thoughtful planning, and executional discipline.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by applying lean methodologies and process optimization techniques to increase efficiency, eliminate waste, and enhance the value IT delivers across the organization.
