We are seeking a Vice President of Information Technology (IT) to play a pivotal role in leading Artis to a scalable, secure, and service-driven IT function. You will have the opportunity to design and execute a strategic multi-year IT roadmap that aligns technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and clinical systems with the company’s growth strategy across its 26 senior living communities. As the Vice President of IT, you will serve as a strategic business partner with operations, to create Artis’ tech stack. You will establish internal IT capabilities, vendor governance, cybersecurity maturity, infrastructure reliability, and technology innovation that supports our residents, resident families, associates, and support functions. You will also oversee our outsourced IT service partner that provides Artis with a broad suite of technology services including 24/7 help desk, network services, hardware and software support, and cloud/data center services. This role requires deep experience in multi-site healthcare or senior living environments, strong change management capabilities, and demonstrated success building IT organizations from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience within healthcare, senior living, or multi-site regulated environments
  • Strong background in cybersecurity and compliance (HIPAA is required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with senior living EMR platforms (e.g., ALIS)
  • Experience with cloud migrations (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 environments)

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Transformation: Establish governance, service standards, SLAs, and performance metrics
  • Create a 3–5-year technology roadmap that aligns with company growth and operational goals
  • Lead capital planning and IT budget management across all our communities and support functions
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Strengthen cybersecurity posture, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and incident response
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, and data privacy requirements
  • Clinical & Operational Systems: Oversee EMR, CRM, HRIS, payroll, finance, and resident billing systems
  • Partner with clinical leadership to optimize technology workflows
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions that improve resident experience and care delivery
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and service agreements
  • Evaluate build vs. buy technology decisions
