The Vice President, Human Resources leads the Human Resources function across North America, ensuring that HR practices align with the strategic objectives of the Company. This is a hands-on position, providing high-level support and guidance to operational HR Teams to ensure appropriate people practices are implemented and embedded, enhancing the Company’s reputation as an Employer of Choice. Requirements

  • Master's Degree or Equivalent Level in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or similar subject.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a visible senior leadership role, with a proven record of delivering key initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an HR strategy and strategic objectives for the Company, ensuring these align with operational requirements and are fully embedded across the Company / operations, whilst improving brand recognition in the markets in which the Company operates.
  • Partner with senior leaders within the Company to identify, understand and implement initiatives to meet their people / team requirements.
  • Ensuring appropriate workforce planning activities take place, supporting leaders manage labour headcounts per the operational budget.
  • Ensure operating models are effectively and efficiently designed to deliver safe and exceptional operational performance.
  • Ensure a range of exceptional recruitment and selection practices are in place to identify and onboard the right talent to drive the Company forward.
  • Accountable to ensure that Industrial Relations and associated collective bargaining instruments are well managed and proactively designed to support the operations.
  • Lead the development of HR frameworks and tools for recruitment, performance management, development, career and succession planning, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee onboarding and offboarding, and retention of talent to meet Company needs.
  • Lead the Company’s succession planning review activities, ensuring practical value creation through the various processes.
  • Provide specialist, ad hoc, advice to leadership teams to enable greater team productivity and collaboration.

  • Actively contribute to the region’s ‘Journey to Zero’.
  • Role model high standards of professional behaviour and ethics, in accordance with our DNA.
  • Collaborate with regional team members, colleagues and peers, including providing support to regional exploration teams.
  • Accountable for ensuring succession planning activities are proactively managed, with development plans in place for individuals to assume critical positions within the team.
  • Undertake and deliver projects and ad hoc work / assignments as required by the business.
