Arch is seeking a Vice President, Head of Model Research & Event Response to lead the development, governance, and application of Arch’s catastrophe view of risk across regions, perils, and lines of business. This role is responsible for catastrophe model evaluation, change management, climate risk interpretation, and global event response, ensuring Arch’s risk insights are scientifically robust, business‑relevant, and decision‑ready. The role oversees a team of approximately three experienced catastrophe analytics professionals and partners closely with underwriting, portfolio management, exposure management, risk, and executive leadership. This is a global role, supporting Arch’s London operations and ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s LCM5 and LCM9 requirements. This role represents Arch in external research forums and helps translate academic and industry collaboration into practical underwriting and portfolio insights. As Arch continues to lean into AI and advanced analytics, this role will play a critical part in shaping how emerging technologies enhance model understanding, event response, and risk decisioning.
