About The Position

We are seeking a Vice President of Communications to lead PR, Corporate Comms and Internal Communications globally. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for shaping and amplifying our brand narrative, driving customer, partner and employee engagement, and fostering a culture of transparency and connection across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a visionary communicator who can seamlessly bridge corporate communications, employee engagement, public relations, and marketing as McAfee enters its next phase of accelerated growth. This is a Hybrid position, you must be within a commutable distance of one of our hub locations: New York, NY, San Jose, CA, or Frisco, TX. You will be required to be onsite an average of 2 to 3 days a week. When you are not working onsite you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our locations and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in communications roles, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful integrated communications and marketing strategies in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities with demonstrated experience crafting compelling narratives for diverse audiences across multiple channels
  • Strong media relations background with established relationships with key journalists, influencers, and industry analysts
  • Experience managing crisis communications and navigating sensitive organizational issues with discretion and strategic acumen
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and emerging communications technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with C-suite executives and board members, serving as a strategic communications advisor
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and insights to inform strategy and measure impact
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messages

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Communications: Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and senior leadership on communications strategy, messaging, and stakeholder engagement
  • Craft all narratives, presentations and FAQs for leadership and executives, externally, internally and with investors
  • Lead crisis communications, media relations, and reputation management planning and execution, serving as primary spokesperson
  • Public Relations: Manage relationships with external agencies, media outlets, industry analysts, and key partners to maximize brand exposure and thought leadership
  • Develop a PR calendar and plan to reinforce key brand messages and value props consistently throughout the year using a variety of approaches
  • Use a multi-media approach to get reporter and consumer attention in a variety of outlets including content, research, influencers, and ambassadors and advocates to tell the McAfee story
  • Drive social impact partnerships that integrate McAfee into culture and community while contributing to society
  • Internal Communications: Drive internal communications programs that enhance employee engagement, alignment, and understanding of company vision, values, and strategic priorities
  • Develop and manage company all hands, learning sessions, leadership meetings, and employee engagement activities (sharing sessions, in-office gatherings, volunteer activities)
  • Ensure employees have the information and access to resources they need to manage their benefits, perks and overall workplace efficiency
  • Collaborate with the HR organization to build and activate employer brand initiatives
  • Strategy and Leadership: Champion the company's brand identity across all touchpoints, ensuring messaging is powerful, differentiated and consistent
  • Develop and manage communications and marketing budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI
  • Establish metrics and analytics frameworks to measure the effectiveness of communications and marketing initiatives
  • Build and mentor a high-performing communications and marketing team, fostering collaboration across functions and driving professional development
