Pathways Hospice has an immediate opening for a Vice President of Clinical Services. RN license required. REWARDING WORK YOU WILL DO: The Vice President of Clinical Services oversees strategic planning, operational management, and quality assurance for all clinical programs at Pathways Hospice, ensuring regulatory compliance, excellent patient care, and efficient resource utilization. Key duties include developing policies, managing clinical teams, overseeing budgets, driving quality improvement initiatives, and fostering a positive clinical culture. Provides enterprise-aligned clinical leadership, advancing hospice care strategy and anticipating emerging trends in palliative and end-of-life care. Leads the planning, organization, and delivery of hospice clinical operations to ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care. Establishes and manages department budgets; monitors expenditures, resource utilization, and staffing to ensure cost-effective, sustainable service delivery. Directs clinical workforce planning, ensuring appropriate staffing, skill mix, scheduling, onboarding, and competency development. Oversees clinical technology and equipment needs to support efficient service delivery and documentation. Develops, monitors, and analyzes hospice quality and performance metrics, emphasizing patient outcomes, family satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Ensures full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS Conditions of Participation, accreditation standards, and internal policies. Leads and evaluates clinical quality improvement initiatives; standardizes processes and drives evidence-based practice across teams. Provides strategic direction, coaching, and leadership to clinical managers and interdisciplinary team leaders; ensures accountability for performance and service excellence. Mentors and develops clinical staff, fostering professional growth, retention, and a culture of continuous learning. Champions a mission-driven culture of dignity, respect, and collaboration across interdisciplinary care teams. Partners cross-functionally with Operations, Business Development, Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, and Medical Leadership to proactively address barriers and optimize patient care, growth, and operational outcomes. Represents the organization in community, regulatory, and industry settings to advance hospice advocacy, innovation, and care delivery standards. Drives readiness for accreditation, surveys, and audits; leads corrective action planning when needed. Oversees patient/family complaint resolution and service recovery efforts. Ensures integration and oversight of bereavement, volunteer, and supportive services as required by hospice regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
