Vice President and Head of Information Technology Philadelphia, PA Cabaletta Bio (Nasdaq: CABA) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing and launching the first curative targeted cell therapies designed specifically for patients with autoimmune diseases. The CABA™ platform encompasses two complementary strategies which aim to advance the discovery and development of engineered T cell therapies with the potential to become deep and durable, perhaps curative, treatments for a broad range of autoimmune diseases. The lead CARTA (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cells for Autoimmunity) strategy is prioritizing the development of rese-cel, a 4-1BB-containing fully human CD19-CAR T cell investigational therapy. Rese-cel is currently being evaluated in the RESET™ (REstoring SElf-Tolerance) clinical development program spanning multiple therapeutic areas, including rheumatology, neurology and dermatology. The Vice President and Head of Information Technology will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s entire IT infrastructure and strategy. This role will lead the development of scalable, secure, and compliant systems that facilitate innovation and reliably support operational excellence across all functions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this hands-on leader will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a track record of building IT capabilities in a regulated life sciences environment. The role will very closely partner with commercial, manufacturing, finance, and HR leaders to launch the company’s lead product Rese-cel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
Proven success in building IT infrastructure and teams from the ground up in a high-growth environment with preference for direct experience in supporting autologous cell therapy launch and commercialization.
Expertise in SaaS and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
Experience with GxP systems, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, EU Annex 9, ICH Q9 and other regulatory compliance systems in a commercial biotech or clinical setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a client focused, partnering approach
Strong team orientation and passion for continuous self-development.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
Partner closely with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.
Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of service, agility, and continuous improvement.
Experience with building and integrating a global Cell and/or Gene product ordering platform across the patient journey in close partnership with relevant internal stakeholders
Architect and deploy scalable infrastructure across cloud, network, and on-premise environments.
Collaborate with functional leads to guide the selection and implementation of reliable and efficient enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, LIMS, QMS, HRIS, CRM) to support scientific, clinical, technical operations, commercial and corporate functions.
Ensure system interoperability, data integrity, and performance across the organization.
Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks and data protection protocols.
Ensure IT systems and practices comply with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations, where applicable.
Lead IT audits, risk assessments, and incident response planning, maintaining clear traceability.
Provide responsive and proactive IT support to all departments, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, and finance.
Prioritize investments based on value, risk, and life cycle phase in alignment with corporate strategy
Manage IT budgets, vendors, and service level agreements.
Drive automation, analytics, and digital transformation, and AI initiatives to enhance productivity and scalability.
Develop, engage, and collaborate in change management practices for updates and changes
