Role Overview:

The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including reinsurance pricing analysis, interaction with our Broking teams, client interaction as well as research projects. As a VP, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 7+ years’ related experience
• FCAS or near FCAS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python
• Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel.
• Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or normal business hours as required.
• Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy
• Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
• Provide value-added service to clients as needed
• Assist in market and line of business studies to qualify Gallagher Re as a thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
• Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re, including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates
