The Vaccine Clinic Coordinator plays an integral role in providing access to preventative veterinary services in underserved communities. This position coordinates all aspects of community vaccine clinic events, including logistics, administrative tasks, and oversight of on-site staff.

  • Work Experience: Two years of customer service experience and one year of experience working directly with diverse community
  • Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record

  • Experience working in veterinary medicine, including some animal handling and restraint experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists Outreach Specialist in planning, organizing, and executing indoor and outdoor veterinary vaccine clinics in underserved communities in the metro Denver area.
  • Coordinates event-day logistics of vaccine clinic events, including but not limited to transporting supplies, setting up and breaking down canopies and shelters and clinic stations.
  • Actively participates in clinic operations, including registering clients, assisting with pet restraint, and processing client check-out.
  • Provides client education about pet vaccinations and connects clients to additional services as needed.
  • Administrative duties include, but are not limited to scheduling appointments, pre and post event communication, and reconciliation of end of day financials.
  • Posts and manages volunteer sign up shifts for each event.
  • Assists in training volunteers and new staff on clinic procedures.
  • Oversees on site staff and volunteer team, ensuring vaccine clinics are running smoothly and efficiently, and the team is working effectively. This includes adapting work plans due to unexpected situations (e.g. callouts, inclement weather).
  • Ensures our community vaccine clinics provide exceptional client service to a diverse population.
  • Serves as on-site management for de-escalation and client conflict resolution.
  • Maintains and stocks vaccine clinic supplies, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Participates in stocking and unstocking of company vehicle(s) before and after events.
  • Contributes to initiatives to improve processes and procedures, including safety plans, client services, and event workflow.
  • Supports community outreach efforts as needed, including tabling events and sharing program information.
  • Partners with the veterinarian on-site to support clinic flow and respond to emergencies for staff/volunteer injuries or pet vaccine reactions.
  • Maintains stock and organization of donations for the ‘Mutt Market’ in coordination with Colorado Pet Pantry and Leslie A Malone Center.
