About The Position

We are currently looking to hire an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville in Gainesville, Georgia! Location: 275 Pearl Nix Pkwy #3, Gainesville, GA 30501 Salary: $18-25 per hour, depending on licensure and experience Schedule: Full time. Overnights, weekends, and holidays are required Who We Are: Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville provides urgent and critical care to pets in the Gainesville, GA community. Our collaborative, teaching-focused team works in a fast-paced ER environment with a steady caseload. Technicians here play a hands-on role in triage, stabilization, anesthesia, and advanced diagnostics, supported by strong staffing ratios (2–4 techs per DVM) and modern equipment including in-house IDEXX labs, digital radiography, and ultrasound. Who You Are: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Georgia is strongly preferred 2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant Prior emergency and critical care experience a plus Passion for working with animals and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care Confident with medical math and drug calculations Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law What Makes Us Different Referral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid! Requirements

2 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
