About The Position

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join their growing ER care team full time. Credentials are desired but not required. VCA strongly believes in training and development for all employees, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and progressive team environment. The hospital is a 24-hour Emergency & Specialty facility that cares for canine and feline companions, and also works with multiple local wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators to provide care to various wild animals including hawks, eagles, owls, turtles, fawns, opossums, wild turkeys, porcupines, and snakes. The hospital supports advanced cases with cutting-edge technology including CT and multiple specialty departments such as Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, and I-131. They are dedicated to providing gold standard medicine and exceptional patient care, supported by VTS in ECC and SAIM, and promote a culture of growth and development for all levels of technicians.
